The Executive Board
The Executive Board is made up of a President, Vice President , Secretary, and Treasurer. In the spring of each year a nominating committee puts together a list of nominees for the coming year. A description of each job is listed below.
Executive Board Members
President: Jennifer Valencia
Job Description: The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Company, shall preside at all meetings of the members, shall be an ex-officio member of all standing committees, shall have general and active management of the business of the Company, shall have the general supervision and direction of all other officers of the Company with full power to see that their duties are properly performed and shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Company Bylaws are carried into effect. The President shall oversee the appointment of all committees, perform the duties normally
associated with this office, and act as a representative of the organization at public and private functions. The President may sign, with any other proper
officer, any deeds, bonds, mortgages, contracts, and other documents which the Bylaws have authorized to be executed, except where required by law to be otherwise signed and executed and except where the signing and execution thereof shall be expressly delegated by these Bylaws to some other officer or agent of the Company.
Vice- President: TBA
Job Description: The Vice President(s) shall perform the duties that are outlined by these Bylaws and may from time to time be assigned additional duties by the Executive Committee or the President. At the request of the President or in his or her absence or disability, the Vice President
designated by the President (or in the absence of such designation, the most senior Vice President) shall perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President.
Such positions that would require a Vice President elect include, but are not limited to: overseeing volunteers for the organization, membership retention of records, programs and the overseeing of fundraising events.
Treasurer: Shelley Taylor
Job Description: The Treasurer shall have the care and custody of and be responsible for all funds, securities, and valuable papers, and the financial records of the organization. The Treasurer shall maintain the appropriate books and records of the organization. The Treasurer shall make a financial report periodically, including an end-of-the-year full financial report.
Secretary: TBA
Job Description: The Secretary shall prepare and maintain minutes of general membership and Executive Committee meetings, give notice of all meetings of the membership, conduct the correspondence of the organization, and maintain files therein.
